WARNING! You have to use pipe dope when connecting the water line to the tank or it’ll leak. There was a rubber washer on the inside, was there suppose to be a rubber washer on the outside with the plastic nut? There wasn’t one with the purchase of this toilet. I’ve installed many toilets and have never had a problem like this. Love the look of this Intrepid, size, 1.28 gpf, and the ease of flushing with the side handle (totally hate the look of the front handle models).
Installed this Intrepid toilet last week which I pick up new in the box at Habitat for Humanity store for $50.00. The installation was very easy, powerful flush, and no leaks. Had a little trouble only with the tank getting level at first. Handle is a little different, in that it points down. And would agree the quality assurance could be improved as minor blemishes are seen on the porcelain, but not too noticeable.
