Differences Between Moen 26008 Vs. 26009 Shower Heads

Moen 26008 Vs. 26009

When it comes to differentiating between these two shower heads, it can be pretty hard. There aren’t that many evident differences to look at.

So, I will be going through the whole thing by different factors. Some can be similar for both, and some will be different. Let’s get going.

  • Design And Looks

Let’s start with the design for these showerheads.

Coming to the design of 26008, you get a very user-friendly experience with this one. It has a convenient design that you will love to have in your shower head.

You can move the showerhead close to the Magnetixdoct, and it quickly attaches to the thing.

No need to worry about the attachment either. It’s pretty secure and fits perfectly. There is also a three-way diverter in this showerhead, which results in a better user experience.

As for the 26009, all the design is pretty much the same as the 26008. However, the only difference you can find between these two showerheads is the three-way diverter.

The 26009 doesn’t come with any, which gives you a different kind of experience with the thing.

  • Efficiency

In terms of performance efficiency, you get good results from both showerheads, whether it’s the various functions of the 26008 with complete body coverage.

Or the unique functionality on the 26009. Both shower heads have a 2-in-1 combo so you won’t be missing out on either of them.

The functionality on the 26008 feels much more effective than on the 26009. The flexibility and versatility in using the 26008 are better than the 26009.

So, by a bit of margin, I would say the 26008 is slightly more efficient than the 26009.

  • Flow Rate

Now, there is a clear difference you get to experience in the flow rates of both these showerheads.

While the 26008 offers you a flow rate of 2 gallons per minute, the 26009 surpasses that with 2.5 gallons per minute. However, deciding on a higher rate isn’t that easy.

Because, of a higher flow rate, the showerhead is also using more water than the other one. It’s also closely related to the water pressure.

A higher flow rate means higher water pressure.

So, when choosing a showerhead between these two, you have to consider your needs. Whether you are okay with using more water and less pressure or the opposite is your choice.

You have to choose based on that factor.

To help you out even further, if you want to save water, go with 26008. If you want more pressure, go with 26009.

  • Ease Of Installation

Coming to the installation factor, there isn’t much difference between these two. Both showerheads are wall-mounted.

The installation is pretty easy for both of them. With the proper method and correct tools, even you can start installing them at your place.

Still, many people call in a plumber to get the job done perfectly. Installing either of these shower heads can take around 20 to 25 minutes at max.

So, it’s not that difficult or time-consuming task at all.

  • Additional Features

A great thing about both these showerheads is their unique functionality that you don’t get to see in other options that much. Both showerheads have six functions to get a lot of use.

You can use functions like rinsing, pausing, soothing massages, wide-coverage, massages, and relaxing massages.

Along with these, the showerheads come with a metallic hose, so you won’t have to face any damage issues with them. They are highly durable and functional as well.
