Introduction to Secura Soap Dispensers

Secura automatic soap dispensers are a popular option for adding a touchless, hygienic way to wash your hands in bathrooms and kitchens.

Secura Liquid Soap Dispensers

These battery-powered dispensers automatically detect hand movement under the spout and dispense soap without needing to press any buttons or handles. This helps promote handwashing while avoiding the spread of germs from touching shared surfaces.

Secura offers a range of models featuring different designs, capacities, and features. Many include adjustable settings to control the amount of soap dispensed per use. Some also have night lights to help find the dispenser in the dark.

Overall, Secura’s touchless soap dispensers provide a convenient and more sanitary way to wash up around your home. However, like any electronic device, they can occasionally encounter issues that require troubleshooting.

So, what might be the causes behind the blinking of light?

There might be a few reasons like natural ones and unnatural ones. To differentiate that, you have to read the manual that comes with the soap dispenser carefully.

However, let’s get to know about the probable reasons behind it.

  • Dispensing The Soap

You already know about the green light. This light is meant to blink when the sensor gets any hand to dispense. The light remains on as long as one takes soap from it.

So it is normal, and there is nothing to be worried about.

Once the dispensing is complete, this blue light will go off.

  • Battery Charge Getting Low

The charge of the batteries goes down after a few months. So to notify the user about this, the red light starts blinking. This is also normal, according to the manual of it.

After getting the notification, you can get new batteries for the soap dispenser.

  • Switching Off The Dispenser

Another mentioned blinking reason in the manual is when you switch off the soap dispenser. By turning on the light red, this tool assures that the dispenser is off.

  • Problem In The Gears

Apart from the normal reasons if you find out that the lights are blinking then one reason could be the issue in the motor or other internal gears.

  • Exposure To The Water

Since the soap dispenser remains in a place like a bathroom or a kitchen sink, there is a high chance that it would get exposed to water. As a result of it, the infrared sensor may disturb while working.

  • Manufacturing Issue

Unluckily, you may end up getting a faulty product, and you will find that the sensor of the product or the red and green LED light is not working properly.

So, it is an issue that must be from the manufacturer’s end.

  • Bad Sensor

The infrared sensor that detects hand motions under the spout can malfunction over time. This prevents the dispenser from registering hand waves and activating.

  • Electrical Issue

In rare cases, an internal electrical component like a fuse or wire connection may fail, causing the odd blinking light behavior.

  • Software Glitch

Software controlling the light indicator can simply get stuck in a loop, making the light blink persistently for no reason.

  • Soap Pump Got Clogged

When the soap is too thick it may create pressure on the gears which might eventually influence the green light. So be cautious regarding the soap you are pouring in it.

  1. My Secura just stopped working after two years. The blue light flashes on occasion but neither the motor nor pump runs. The batteries are new, the connectors are clean, and I am still using the same soap I always have (Softsoap). It did leak a black fluid on the sink and stopped working. The inside of the bottom compartment is clean and moisture-free. What’s up?

  2. My Secura has a cord to recharge it. There was no light on top where there usually is. I left it on for a day & still no lights. If I hold my finger on the light ( which should switch to different colors indicating how much soap is dispensed) no light! if I press down on the light it flashes several times & goes out. The dispenser does not dispense soap. Nothing happens! Help!!

  3. Problem- The soap dispenser dispenses soap when you put a towel or dish rag under the sensor but not when you put a hand under the sensor. Is there a problem with the sensor, if so how can I repair
